Remote life insurance sales — working with people who've already asked about coverage to find what fits — is what The Wood Agency does. This 100% remote role may suit logistics, freight, or supply chain professionals comfortable managing complexity, following through on deals, and working on variable pay.
What you'll do
- Reach out to individuals who've already requested life insurance information and schedule a time to talk
- Learn each client's financial situation and existing coverage before walking them through any options
- Present suitable coverage options and complete the application together over the phone or video
- Process submissions using carrier quoting tools and e-application platforms
- Track pending cases and keep clients informed until the policy is issued
- Log call notes, case status, and next steps in the CRM as you work
Qualifications

- Experience carrying multiple active accounts or deals through a full sales cycle
- Comfortable on phone and video — the work is done entirely from home
- Detail-oriented follow-through: you track what's pending and don't let things slip between calls
- At ease in web-based tools — carrier platforms and a CRM are part of the daily workflow
- A state life insurance license, or the ability to pass a state licensing exam before taking client calls
What we provide
- Access to The Wood Agency's exclusive lead system
- Weekly team calls, scripts, and call review sessions available to agents
- Ride-alongs and 1:1 mentoring available from founders Ben and Andrea, who built and run the agency
- Contracts with 43 carriers — so you can match coverage to what a client actually needs rather than what one company offers
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Compensation is commission-based. No salary or hourly pay is provided. Earnings depend on individual production. If that structure fits where you are right now, The Wood Agency welcomes your application.
