The Wood Agency is hiring work-from-home sales consultants to help families review life insurance options and apply for coverage. This is a 100% remote role suited to people from outside the insurance industry who are ready to build a structured sales career on their own terms.
What you'll do
- Reach out to people who have already shown interest in life insurance and schedule remote appointments
- Ask questions to understand each household's situation before discussing any coverage options
- Walk clients through available policies and help them complete an application during the same conversation
- Track pending cases and keep clients informed from submitted application to issued policy
- Keep your CRM current — log calls, notes, and next steps as you go
- Complete ongoing training and conduct all client work within state insurance regulations and carrier guidelines
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- A state life insurance license, or a clear plan to earn one before making your first sales calls
- Comfortable holding professional conversations by phone and video — all client work is done remotely
- Able to learn and navigate web-based platforms and carrier portals without much hand-holding
- Self-directed enough to manage your own schedule and follow through without daily oversight
- Prior insurance experience is not required

Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor role. Compensation is commission-based; no salary or hourly pay is provided. Earnings depend on individual production — if that structure fits your situation, we encourage you to apply.
