The Wood Agency is hiring remote sales representatives — veterans, military spouses, and anyone who works well without constant oversight are welcome to apply. The role involves selling life insurance from home, helping families who've already expressed interest in coverage work through their options and complete an application.
What you'll do
- Reach out to people who've requested information about life insurance and schedule phone or video appointments
- Ask enough questions to understand each family's situation before presenting any options
- Walk clients through suitable coverage from The Wood Agency's network of 43 carriers and complete the application together
- Track the case through the carrier's review process and keep clients informed while it's pending
- Log calls, notes, and follow-ups in the CRM as conversations happen
- Stay current on products, carrier guidelines, and state compliance requirements — training is ongoing, not a one-week orientation
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- A state life insurance license — or a clear plan to obtain one before your first client call
- Reliable internet, a computer, and a phone; every appointment is remote
- Comfort using web-based quoting platforms, e-applications, and a CRM
- Discipline to manage your own schedule and follow cases through to completion without being prompted
- Straightforward, honest communication with people making real decisions for their families
What we provide
- Access to an exclusive lead system; ask us about costs and terms
- A structured first-month plan: aim to be licensed by the end of week two, contracted by the end of week three, and on client calls by month's end
- 1:1 mentorship, scripts, call reviews, and ride-alongs — available to agents who want them
- A 13-agent team with a weekly call for connection and support; the agency is licensed in all 50 states
