The Wood Agency is hiring independent sales consultants to help families evaluate life insurance options and complete applications from home. The role is 100% remote and may suit professionals with an automotive finance or F&I background who are already comfortable explaining financial products and working on commission.
What you'll do
- Follow up with interested clients and schedule time to understand their coverage needs
- Open each conversation by listening — learn the client's situation before any product comes up
- Walk through coverage options that fit and complete the application together by phone or video
- Run quotes and submit applications through carrier e-application and quoting platforms
- Track case status in the CRM from first contact through policy issue, keeping clients informed while a case is pending
- Work within state insurance law, carrier guidelines, and The Wood Agency's compliance standards on every case
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- A state life insurance license, or a clear path to getting one before making sales calls
- Comfort with web-based tools: quoting platforms, e-application systems, and CRM software
- Consistent follow-through on pending cases without external reminders — this is a self-managed role
- A computer, reliable internet, and a phone for client calls and video meetings
- Experience explaining financial products clearly to people who didn't come in already sold — F&I, lending, or a comparable role
What we provide
- An exclusive lead system available to agents — a channel for connecting with people who have already requested coverage information
- Weekly team call, scripts, call reviews, ride-alongs, and 1:1 mentorship — all available through The Wood Agency's support structure
- Contracts across 43 carriers — The Wood Agency operates as an independent agency, which means you can match the right product to each client rather than being limited to one company's lineup
- A structured first-month plan: licensing targeted by end of week two, training and contracts by week three, first client calls before month one ends
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor role. Compensation is commission-based — no salary or hourly pay is provided. Earnings depend on individual production. If this structure fits how you already work, you're welcome to apply.
