The Wood Agency is currently hiring remote life insurance sales agents to work with clients on coverage decisions and applications. The position can be started part-time and scaled at whatever pace makes sense — it's open in all 50 states and suits people ready to move toward independent sales work.
What you'll do
- Call people who've already asked about life insurance and set up coverage conversations
- Ask about each person's situation — what they own, who depends on them — before presenting anything
- Walk through coverage options by phone or video and complete the application side by side
- Submit and track applications through carrier quoting tools and e-app systems
- Follow pending cases to policy issue, keeping clients informed along the way
- Stay current on products and carrier rules through ongoing training, not a one-week start
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- A state life insurance license — or the ability to get one before making sales calls
- Comfortable on the phone and in video meetings, including with people you've never met
- Able to track your own follow-ups and manage a case pipeline without daily prompts
- A computer, a phone, and reliable internet
- Comfortable with variable, commission-based income — this is not a salaried position
What we provide
- Access to The Wood Agency's exclusive lead system — available to contracted agents
- One-on-one mentorship with Ben and Andrea — agents here work with them directly, not through a management chain
- Weekly team call, scripts, call reviews, and ride-alongs available as your schedule allows
- Contracts with 43 carriers — The Wood Agency is an independent agency licensed in all 50 states
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Pay is commission-based — no salary or hourly pay is provided. Earnings depend on individual production. If that structure fits your situation, The Wood Agency encourages you to apply.
