The Wood Agency is now hiring remote life insurance sales agents to help families review coverage options and apply for policies. This role is flexible by design and may suit people stepping out of shift-based work in healthcare, retail, or restaurants who want more say over when they work.
What you'll do
- Reach out to people who have already expressed interest in life insurance to schedule a remote conversation
- Take time to understand each client's situation before presenting any coverage options
- Walk through suitable policies from The Wood Agency's network of 43 carriers and complete the application with the client
- Keep clients informed while their case moves through the carrier review process toward a decision
- Log calls, notes, and appointments in a web-based CRM as you go
- Stay current through ongoing product and carrier training as it becomes available
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- A state life insurance license, or the ability to obtain one before your first client conversation — the onboarding plan targets licensure within the first two weeks
- Comfortable holding phone and video calls and navigating basic web-based tools
- Self-directed: you set your own calendar and follow through without daily check-ins
- A computer, a phone, and a reliable internet connection
- Consistent follow-up habits — pending cases and clients both need timely attention

Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Compensation is commission-based — no salary or hourly pay is provided. Earnings depend on individual production. If that structure fits where you are right now, The Wood Agency welcomes your application.
