This opening at Our Team is for remote sales work — selling life insurance to people who want coverage and, for the right person, building and mentoring a small team of agents alongside that practice. It suits a licensed producer who is ready for both an active sales role and a leadership path.

What you'll do

  • Schedule and run coverage appointments with prospective clients by phone or video
  • Ask the questions that surface what a client actually needs before presenting any options
  • Guide clients through policy choices and complete applications together during the appointment
  • Follow each submitted application through the carrier's review process and keep the client informed until the policy is issued
  • Use carrier quoting tools and e-application platforms to submit business accurately
  • Keep the CRM current — log calls, notes, and next steps as cases move forward
  • Stay current on product, carrier, and compliance requirements through ongoing training
  • Help newer agents get oriented — share your process, sit in on their calls, offer feedback
  • Build and grow a team of agents over time through recruiting and onboarding, alongside your own production

Qualifications

  • Active state life insurance license, required before you begin selling
  • Demonstrated history as a sales producer — you know how to work a pipeline from first contact to close
  • Comfortable running appointments entirely by phone or video, without face-to-face meetings
  • Confident with carrier platforms and CRM tools, or quick to learn web-based systems
  • Strong follow-up discipline — pending cases and scheduled callbacks don't fall through the cracks
  • Able to explain coverage details plainly to someone who has never thought about life insurance before
  • Some experience leading, coaching, or developing other people, whether formal or informal
  • Reliable computer, dedicated phone, and stable internet connection for fully remote work

What we provide

  • Training and support resources available through Our Team as you build your client base and your team
  • Our Team is an independently operated agency — agents build their own book of business, not a corporate quota
  • A fully remote setup: the work happens wherever you have a reliable phone and internet connection
  • Access to the team's collective knowledge and experience as you develop your own leadership approach

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor role. Compensation is commission-based, and no salary or hourly pay is provided. Your pay comes from your own insurance sales to clients — not from the agents you recruit or from their production. Earnings depend on individual production. If this structure suits the way you work, Our Team welcomes your application.
