A remote life insurance sales role at The Wood Agency is open nationwide. The work involves helping families who've already asked about coverage review their options and apply — from first conversation through to issued policy. This may suit outside or territory sales professionals ready to bring their client work entirely online.
What you'll do
- Follow up with people who've already requested life insurance information — no cold prospecting
- Schedule and hold remote consultations by phone or video
- Ask questions and listen first — understand a family's situation before presenting any options
- Walk through coverage choices and complete the application together using carrier quoting and e-app tools
- Log conversations and activity in the CRM as each call happens
- Keep each pending case moving — stay in contact with clients and the carrier through to policy issue
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- A state life insurance license — or a concrete plan to get licensed before your first sales call
- Computer, phone, and reliable internet connection (you'll run everything from home)
- Comfortable managing client conversations on video and by phone with no physical office behind you
- Able to self-manage a pipeline, follow up on your own schedule, and stay consistent without outside prompting
- Some history working with variable or commission-based compensation — this role carries no salary or base
What we provide
- An independent agency contracted with 43 carriers — you match clients to what fits their situation, not what's available from a single company
- Access to an exclusive lead system — discuss availability and costs with The Wood Agency when you connect
- Weekly team calls, call reviews, scripts, and ride-alongs available when you want them
- 1:1 mentorship available with Ben and Andrea, who built and run The Wood Agency
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Compensation is commission-based. No salary or hourly pay is provided. Earnings depend on individual production. If that structure makes sense for your situation, The Wood Agency welcomes your application.
