Remote life insurance sales work is what The Wood Agency is hiring for — people who connect with families that have already asked about coverage, walk through their options, and complete applications together. This 100% remote role may suit people with a background in advertising, media, or other commission-based sales.

What you'll do

  • Reach out by phone or video to people who've already submitted a request for life insurance information
  • Ask about each family's situation and goals before presenting any coverage options
  • Walk through plans from The Wood Agency's 43-carrier network and complete the application with the client in real time
  • Log conversations and next steps in the CRM as they happen
  • Track each pending case through the carrier review process and keep clients informed along the way
  • Stay current on products, carrier guidelines, and state insurance compliance — not just at the start, but throughout

Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Holds a state life insurance license, or prepared to get one before beginning any sales activity
  • Phone and video calls are the primary way this work gets done; comfort with both is necessary
  • Able to work through web-based quoting platforms, e-applications, and a CRM without close guidance
  • Follows up consistently — clients waiting on a pending application expect to hear from you
  • Can explain a policy clearly in plain language, without jargon
  • Manages their own schedule and stays productive without external structure

What we provide

  • Access to an exclusive lead system; lead acquisition costs are the agent's own responsibility
  • Weekly team calls, call reviews, and ride-alongs available through The Wood Agency
  • 1:1 mentorship with Ben and Andrea, who built and still work in this agency
  • Carrier contracts spanning 43 represented carriers across all 50 states
  • A first-month plan that targets licensing by week two, contracting by week three, and first sales calls before the month is out

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Compensation is commission-based. No salary or hourly pay is provided. Earnings depend on individual production. If that structure fits the way you want to work, The Wood Agency encourages you to apply.
