Spanish-speaking families often lack a life insurance agent who can explain coverage clearly in their language. The Wood Agency is hiring bilingual sales agents — fluent in Spanish and English — for a 100% remote role helping families review life insurance options and apply for coverage.
What you'll do
- Reach out to people who have already asked for information about life insurance and schedule coverage appointments by phone or video
- Conduct appointments in Spanish or English based on each client's preference — ask about their family situation, health, and goals before presenting any options
- Quote across the 43 carriers The Wood Agency works with to find coverage that genuinely fits the client's needs and budget
- Complete applications with clients directly inside carrier e-app and quoting platforms
- Manage each pending application through the carrier's review process — tracking status and keeping clients informed until the policy is issued
- Log calls, appointments, and case notes in the CRM as you work through the day
- Keep current on product details, carrier underwriting guidelines, and state insurance regulations across your licensed states
- Stay with clients through the life of the policy — The Wood Agency's model includes serving families through the claims process, not just at the point of sale
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Full conversational fluency in Spanish and English — written and spoken, at a level suitable for explaining policy details and completing paperwork
- An active state life insurance license, or a clear plan to obtain one before your first sale
- Comfortable running phone and video appointments remotely without in-person support
- Able to work inside web-based carrier quoting systems and a CRM without significant hand-holding
- Disciplined follow-through — you track pending cases and return calls without being reminded
- Self-directed: you set your own daily schedule and hold yourself accountable for your activity
- Able to explain a policy plainly in either language, without defaulting to insurance jargon
- Comfortable with commission-based, variable income — this is not a salaried position
What we provide
- Access to 43 insurance carriers — The Wood Agency is an independent agency, so you quote across a broad product range rather than a single company's lineup
- Exclusive lead systems available to contracted agents
- Weekly team call, scripts, call reviews, and ride-alongs available to support your work
- 1:1 mentorship available — agents work directly with Ben and Andrea, who built and run The Wood Agency fully remote
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Compensation is commission-based; no salary or hourly pay is provided. Earnings depend on individual production. If that structure fits your situation and you're bilingual in Spanish and English, we'd like to hear from you.
