What you'll actually do
- Sell life insurance to families who've already requested help, remotely, compensated by commission as a 1099 independent contractor
- Reach out to people who submitted a request and schedule a time to talk through their options
- Ask about their situation first — family, existing coverage, what they're trying to protect — before presenting anything
- Explain options in plain language and complete the application together on the carrier's e-app
- Follow each case through underwriting and keep the client informed until the policy issues
- Log activity in the CRM as you go and manage your own pipeline
Who this is a fit for
- Currently in commission-based sales — auto, real estate, solar, wireless, home services, staffing, or similar
- Comfortable running back-to-back phone and video appointments throughout the day
- Able to track your own follow-up without a manager sending reminders
- No life insurance license yet? Getting licensed is built into weeks one and two — it's not a barrier to applying
