The Freidin Agency
Career Changers: Start in Remote Term Life Insurance Sales
The Freidin Agency is hiring career changers in the Virginia Beach, VA area for remote, commission-based 1099 term life sales. This is a remote, work-from-home position—no insurance background required, and here's exactly what your first five weeks look like before you decide to apply.
What you'll actually do
- Weeks one and two: study for and pass your state life insurance license exam
- Week three: complete agent training and get contracted with carriers
- Weeks four and five: start scheduling and holding your first client conversations
- Listen to each family's situation and explain term life options in plain language
- Help clients complete applications and follow them through underwriting
- Stay organized with a provided CRM; meet weekly with your 1:1 mentor
Who this is a fit for
- Career changers who want a straight answer about what onboarding actually looks like
- Self-starters who can stay organized and follow through without a manager watching
- People comfortable having real conversations about serious topics
- Anyone willing to get a state life insurance license before their first sales call
- People who've done hard things before and want work that has real meaning
What we provide
- 1:1 mentor from week one—someone to answer questions as they come up
- Weekly team call so you're never working in isolation
- Ride-alongs to see what good client conversations look like in practice
- CRM provided to manage your pipeline from day one
The honest part
This is commission-only, 1099 independent-contractor work—no salary. The Freidin Agency exists because its founder lost his dad and saw firsthand how life insurance protected his mother. That's why the work matters. Ready to bring that mission to the Virginia Beach area? If you want something easy, you're in the wrong place. If you want something real, apply below.
