Shipley Legacy Group is hiring remote life insurance sales agents — and medical device and pharmaceutical sales reps are a strong fit. If you already live on commission, manage your own pipeline, and know how to walk someone through a complex product decision, the core of this work will feel familiar from the first week.
What you'll do
- Reach out to individuals who have already requested information about coverage — no cold prospecting lists
- Hold phone and video appointments, spending time understanding each person's situation before mentioning any product
- Walk clients through their options and complete the application together during the call
- Track each case from submission to issued policy, keeping the client informed while the carrier works through review
- Log conversations and next steps in the CRM as you go, the same way you'd work a sales territory today
- Stay current on carrier guidelines, product changes, and state insurance law through ongoing training available through Shipley Legacy Group
Qualifications
- History in commission-based sales — medical device, pharmaceutical, or another role where you've built and managed your own book
- Comfortable running consultative appointments over the phone or by video
- Able to navigate web-based quoting tools, electronic applications, and a CRM without hand-holding
- A state life insurance license — or the ability to obtain one before your first client appointment
- Reliable computer, phone, and internet connection
What we provide
- Direct carrier appointments through Shipley Legacy Group, an independent agency six years in business with 17 agents currently on the team
- A one-on-one mentor and call review resources available as you build your practice
- Scripts and a weekly team call available to all agents — founded by Anissa and Joe Shipley after losing close family members without enough coverage in place
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Compensation is commission-based; no salary or hourly pay is provided. Earnings depend on individual production. If your background is in commission sales and you want to apply those skills to life insurance, we welcome your application to Shipley Legacy Group.
