- License
- Not required to apply — you will need a state license before your first sale
- Where
- Remote anywhere in the US · actively recruiting in 50 markets across 37 states
- Applying takes
- About two minutes — name, email, phone, whether you hold a license, optional résumé
- Who reads it

The Reid Agency is hiring remote life insurance sales agents for people who already earn on commission and want work that carries real purpose. If you've built a career on variable pay — solar, door-to-door, car sales, or B2B inside sales — this is worth a serious look.
What you'll do
- Reach out to prospective clients and set up remote conversations about life insurance coverage
- Schedule and hold remote appointments by phone or video to understand each family's situation before presenting anything
- Walk clients through their options plainly and complete applications together during the call
- Log every conversation and follow-up step in the CRM as the work happens
- Track each pending case through underwriting and keep clients informed until coverage is issued
- Stay current on products, carriers, and sales approach through ongoing training — not a single onboarding week and done
Qualifications
- A state life insurance license, or the ability to obtain one before your first sale — The Reid Agency sets weeks 1–2 of onboarding aside specifically for licensing
- A real track record of earning on commission or variable pay without a guaranteed base
- Comfortable running full conversations by phone and video — every appointment is remote
- Disciplined with follow-up and at ease in web-based quoting, e-application, and CRM platforms
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card holder)
What we provide
- Access to products from 50 carriers — The Reid Agency is an independent agency contracted across all 50 states
- Scripts, call reviews, weekly team calls, 1:1 mentorship, and ride-alongs available to agents who want them
- A structured first month: licensing in weeks 1–2, training and shadowing in week 3, running appointments by week 4
- A 40-agent team with a culture built around support and shared learning
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with The Reid Agency. Compensation is commission-based. No salary or hourly pay is provided. Earnings depend on individual production. If that structure fits how you already work, we'd like to hear from you.
