The Reid Agency is hiring licensed life insurance agents — 100% remote — to sell life insurance products and help families review their coverage options across a portfolio of 50 carriers. The role is built for agents who are already licensed and want deeper product access alongside a team that trains, encourages, and shows up.
What you'll do
- Connect with prospective clients and schedule remote appointments
- Open each appointment by learning about the client's situation before presenting any product
- Use carrier quoting platforms to identify the right fit among 50 represented carriers
- Walk clients through their options clearly and complete applications together using carrier e-app systems
- Log every conversation and next step in the CRM as the appointment happens, not after the fact
- Stay with each case through underwriting — keeping the client informed on status and next steps until the policy issues
- Participate in ongoing product, carrier, and sales development available through The Reid Agency — this is not a one-week onboarding and done
- Work within state insurance regulations, carrier guidelines, and agency compliance standards at every step
Qualifications
- Active state insurance license — life, health, or P&C agents are all considered; the license must be in place before selling
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card holder)
- Computer, dedicated phone line, and a reliable internet connection
- Comfortable navigating web-based carrier portals and CRM tools — this work is done in those systems daily
- Able to explain policy details clearly to a client over phone or video without leaning on jargon
- Consistent follow-through from the first call through the issued policy — cases don't manage themselves
- Self-directed enough to work without a manager over your shoulder in a fully remote environment
- Comfortable with commission-based, 1099 income — there is no W-2 base here
What we provide
- The Reid Agency is an independent agency contracted with 50 carriers across all 50 states — agents have real product breadth to work with
- Scripts, call reviews, and 1:1 mentorship are available to agents who want to use them
- Weekly team calls and ride-alongs are available as part of the agency's support culture — agents like Michelle, who came from P&C claims and now leads and trains others, built their practice inside this same structure
- A team of 40 agents to learn alongside, including agents who have gone on to lead and to launch their own agencies
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Compensation is commission-based. No salary or hourly pay is provided. Earnings depend on individual production. If you hold an active license and want to put it to work with a team that backs you up, The Reid Agency welcomes your application.
