Colton Mims is hiring licensed life insurance sales agents to help seniors explore final expense coverage and complete applications — all done remotely from home. This role suits agents who hold an active state license and want direct carrier appointments, no production quota, and the ability to manage their own schedule.

What you'll do

  • Reach out to seniors who have already shown interest in final expense coverage and set appointments by phone or video
  • Begin each appointment by understanding the client's situation, health considerations, and budget before presenting any option
  • Compare final expense products across multiple carriers and match options to the client's health profile and coverage needs
  • Use carrier quoting tools to build accurate proposals, then complete the application together with the client through the carrier's own e-app platform
  • Follow each submitted application through underwriting, keeping the client updated at every stage while their case is pending
  • Log every appointment, conversation note, and follow-up action in the CRM as it happens — not batched at the end of the week
  • Stay current on underwriting guidelines, product changes, and state compliance requirements as an ongoing part of the work, not a one-time onboarding topic
  • Flag complicated health or coverage situations early and use available case design support to structure the right plan
  • Work within carrier rules, state insurance law, and Mims Financial Services' compliance standards throughout every client interaction

Qualifications

  • Active state life insurance license in good standing — required before selling
  • Comfortable running full sales conversations by phone and video in a fully remote setting
  • Hands-on experience navigating carrier portals, e-app systems, or web-based CRM platforms
  • Able to explain policy differences and coverage terms to clients in plain, straightforward language
  • Reliable follow-through — open cases and pending applications stay on your radar without a manager checking in
  • Self-directed and organized — you set your own daily priorities and manage your own pipeline
  • Computer, phone, and high-speed internet connection ready for remote client work

What we provide

  • Direct carrier appointments through Mims Financial Services — you're contracted directly, not placed through a middleman agency
  • Free ongoing training on final expense products, carrier guidelines, and sales skills — available throughout, not just at the start
  • A 1:1 mentor, sales scripts, and call reviews available as you build your practice
  • A weekly team call and an active community of working agents
  • CRM access, case design help, no production quota, and no non-compete

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not an employment position. Compensation is commission-based — no salary or hourly pay is provided. Earnings depend on individual production. If you hold an active license and work well on your own, we'd like to hear from you.
