Remote Sales Representative — Career Changers Welcome

Mims Financial Services is hiring a remote sales agent in Herndon, VA to help homeowners review mortgage protection life insurance options and apply for coverage. This is a fully remote, work-from-home position open to candidates in the Herndon area. The role suits people with a sales background — any industry — who want flexible, independent work built around genuine client conversations.

What you'll do

• Reach out to homeowners who have already requested information about mortgage protection coverage
• Schedule and hold phone or video appointments from your home office
• Ask enough questions to understand each client's situation before showing them anything
• Walk through coverage options in plain language and complete the application together with the client
• Log activity and notes in the CRM as conversations happen
• Follow each pending case through the carrier's review process and keep the client informed along the way
• Use carrier quoting and e-application platforms as part of the standard workflow
• Stay current through ongoing product and carrier training available through Mims Financial Services

Qualifications

• A state life insurance license — or a clear plan to get licensed before your first sale
• Comfortable conducting appointments by phone and video without in-person support
• Track record of following up consistently and moving conversations forward — from any sales background
• Able to explain options clearly to someone who is hearing them for the first time
• Computer, reliable internet connection, and a phone you use for business calls
• Comfortable learning web-based quoting tools and a CRM from the start

Compensation
